Former I.O.I members Chungha, Mina and Jung Chaeyeon have reunited! On the February 23rd episode of tvN‘s On & Off, Chungha appeared as one of the featured celebrity guests for the show. On & Off is a variety program that follows celebrities around during their entire day. It shows their “on” days, when their schedules are packed with entertainment related activities, as well as their “off” days, when they do normal daily routines.
Chungha was one of the featured celebrities on the newest season of the tvN show and on the most recent episode, her former I.O.I members joined her. The three former Produce 101 contestants can be seen eating ddukbokki while conversing about their lives. It was here that the three idols talked about Mina’s previous diet.
Wow, I can finally eat yup dduk (famous ddukbokki place) with Mina. I felt so bad for her at that time.
Jung Chaeyeon chimed in by sharing a heartbreaking question Mina asked her about Yup Dduk.
She asked me last time, ‘what does it taste like?’ When she asked me that, my heart hurt.
— Jung Chaeyeon
Chungha and Jung Chaeyeon were referring back to the time when Mina went through extreme dieting methods to lose weight. As the three reminisced on the past, Mina shared her side of the story.
I didn’t eat anything that required chewing.
Previously, Mina featured as a guest on KBS2‘s Happy Together and it was here that she revealed her extreme dieting methods. “I did a lemon detox diet. I once only drank 2 bottles of sparkling water for two entire weeks. My weight went down to 92lbs at one point.” Mina then shared to her unnies,
I don’t do starving diets anymore after that previous dieting period. I was so dizzy.
Mina confessed that while she may have looked “prettier” back then, she is much happier now.
After losing all that weight, I looked prettier on screen. However, I feel much happier now.
While Mina looks gorgeous with or without her diet, we are glad to hear that she is happier now. You can check out the mini I.O.I reunion, down below!
