BLACKPINK‘s Rosé isn’t a college student at the moment, but that doesn’t mean she’s never felt like one! In fact, it wasn’t too long ago that she felt as if she was back in school, swarmed with assignments.
In a recent video shared on her YouTube channel, Rosé was asked about her schedule while working on her solo debut album. “What was your schedule like while making this album?”
She revealed in great detail how busy she was during that time. After finally finishing her work for the day, which included dance practice and meetings with her design team, it would already be 3 a.m. in the morning.
I would arrive at work at 3 p.m. and start meetings. There were times where I would go back home at 3 a.m. for the whole week. I would have meetings with the album design team, then I would have another meeting, and then I would select pictures. After that, I would go to dance practice. It would be 3 a.m. once I come back and wrap things up.
Her extremely busy schedule made her feel like she was a college student who had to stay up late to finish multiple assignments.
I felt like I became a college student. Our team would say it feels like we’re in college again, like pulling all-nighters doing assignments and stuff because there were so many things we had to do each and every day.
Although the entire experience was tiring, she nonetheless appreciated how fun it was to work with her team.
We would order pizza and would say things like, ‘Never knew pizza tasted so good.‘ Physically, it was quite draining, but working with people that I connect well with was really, really fun.
Considering the global success of her solo debut, Rosé’s sleepless nights definitely paid off! Hear more from Rosé in the full video below.
