Since debuting last year, SM Entertainment‘s newest girl group, aespa, has cemented their status as “Monster Rookies” by gaining popularity in Korea and worldwide for their performances, visuals, and personality.
It seems like a week doesn’t go by without netizens talking about the members and their incredible talents!
Yet, it seems as if it isn’t just netizens who are obsessed with the group, and a moment from the recent SBS Entertainment Awards gained attention from fans because of this.
On December 20, the group performed their classic track “Next Level” at the event. As always, they slayed with their undeniable talent, gorgeous visuals, and stage presence.
Alongside fans watching at home, many celebrities were at the event in person, and one of those was Olympian An San, who is also known as a true K-Pop fan! After the event, An San posted some clips on her Instagram and showcased her love for the group.
However, one part specifically caught the attention of netizens worldwide and was a talking point on online communities.
In one of the videos, the group was dancing to their iconic point move in the song. At the same time, the camera director at the side of the stage was perfectly dancing along with the group.
If that wasn’t enough, he was clapping very excitedly like a true MY (name of aespa’s fandom) after the performance ended!
Yet, it isn’t the first time SM artists have proven their legendary status by distracting the camera staff. In 2019, SuperM performed in Fairfax on their SuperM: We Are The Future Live tour. In particular, Baekhyun‘s “UN Village” solo was captivating!
It was so good that even a cameraman was captivated by his performance! A fan realized one cameraman nearby was bopping along to Baekhyun’s smooth vocals during the performance and captured it all on video!
