On November 26th, FNC Entertainment‘s rising girl group AOA made a visit to Bongdam High School in Hwaseong, Gyeonggido and held a special event for CSAT examinees.
Earlier in the month on November 16th, the group made the announcement that they would be holding fan meetings at high schools in South Korea to celebrate the CSAT (college entrance) exams. The girls had asked students to leave a short message (and include their school name) with the hashtags #AOA and #LikeACat on the Facebook post by November 23rd for a chance to bring AOA to their school, and on November 26th, AOA delivered. AOA and other idols had also sent messages of encouragement to students before the date of the exam.
At the school, the girls gave a short speech congratulating the students on completing their exams, then went on to pose for pictures and sign autographs. Due to the surprise nature of the visit, many of the students made makeshift banners using paper and pens that they had at hand.
AOA is currently rising in popularity after the release of their hit song, “Like a Cat.” The song won them first place on MBC‘s Show! Champion, and has reached over 3.5 million views since it was released a little over two weeks ago! However, despite all this success, AOA recently revealed that they have earned $0 in terms of personal income since they debuted three years ago.
